Tangos National High School
THE SCHOOL AND ITS BACKGROUND
Located along B. Cruz Street, Barangay Tangos, occupying a 7,496 sq. meters lot, the TSST has its modest beginning in the early 1990s. Its main building was constructed by the DPWH from the regular infrastructure fund of the DECS. It became home for students of NNHS who were not accommodated by the main campus due to the rapid increase in enrolment. It was known as Tangos Annex. Another building was constructed as the population increased and the demand for education became evident in the municipality. Tangos grew steadily in the years from a very depressing school. It has improved its facilities and standing in the academic community and the trust and respect of its stakeholders. At first, it catered to the first and second year only.
In 1996, Tangos Annex became a complete High School and at the end of that school year students graduated.
School buildings were constructed yearly as the number of students and faculty population grew. As the school steadily improved, the requisites for establishment as a national high school were complied.
The municipal government threw its unwavering support for the school. DECS- VALMANA has forwarded and saw to it that the school was granted its full establishment on January 24, 2000.
Brgy. Tangos has gained a newly established school to answer the need of its constituents. Navotas was getting ready for the future. It has supported its school development and provided for its needs.
In terms of manpower, the school can boast a strong teaching force who are not only specialists in their respective school of discipline but are also dedicated to the schools’ VISION and MISSION, to make the school one of the finest in the country.
