Career Talks Mark Celebration of Career Guidance Week

Tangos National High School celebrated this year’s Guidance Week with the theme “The Guidance of Today is the Career of Tomorrow” Paggabay sa mga Mag-aaral Tungo sa Isang Mahusay na Pagpili sa Karera sa Bagong Normal” last May 15-17, 2023.
The said celebration was launched by having a parade of Career Suit participated by the Grade 10 students. The students were wearing their dream career in the future. Class advisers and some barangay officials also graced the parade.
On its second day, an interactive exhibit was set up at the DepEd 2 and DepEd 3 buildings to inform the community about different career and fields. Also, students participated in audio and video mindfulness sessions, games, and reflective pen and paper activities during their Homeroom periods.
Career talks were organized for Grade 10 students on the third day of the celebration.
Former TNHS students, Mr. Joshua Eisma and Mr. John Angelo Manlapaz, EsP Department Head, Mr. Arthur Catungal, Master Teacher of Filipino Department, Mr. Cristopher Sobremesana, and Senior High School Chairperson, Mrs. Lea Malaca were the speakers for the said talks.
For the different sessions, the speakers shared their personal and professional journeys on how their passion for their advocacies and perseverance in overcoming challenges made an impact on their lives, on others, and on the world.
Through these talks, the students gained awareness of what the 21st century career landscape has to offer. The esteemed speakers also inspired students to keep an open mind and heart so they can cultivate their skills and interests toward a future career.
